slide16.gif (72658 bytes) The germinated green malt is dried in the kiln with heated air which is blown through the layer of green malt for approximately 24 hours to produce about 285 tons of finished malt form the original 330 tons of cleaned barley. The moisture content after kilning is approximately 4%.
